In the Leaders Room, children engage in purposeful play that builds the skills they’ll need for a successful start to school.
Through activities like storytelling, early maths games and role-play, they develop early literacy, numeracy and social awareness in ways that feel meaningful and fun.
Our educators guide daily routines that encourage focus, independence and self-regulation — helping each child grow in confidence and feel ready for the next step.
Children in the Leaders Room are encouraged to explore their interests through long-term, hands-on projects. Whether they’re investigating how plants grow or creating collaborative art, these experiences spark curiosity and deepen understanding.
Educators thoughtfully extend each child’s ideas, supporting creativity, problem-solving and independent thinking — key skills for school and beyond.
In the Leaders Room, children participate in group activities like collaborative art and team games to build friendships and develop empathy. These interactions help foster resilience and equip children with the skills to navigate social dynamics confidently.
In the Leaders Room, our routine establishes predictability and reliability. Children in Voyagers have greater participation in the routine, taking key roles in setting up and packing away experiences, and facilitating routine tasks such as meals and rest. Children's voices are captured when developing the educational programme and setting the day's schedule.
All children begin the day in home grouping downstairs
The morning starts with play in our outdoor environment. Interaction with children of all age groups support socio-emotional development and build community and connection.
Children gather to participate in Welcome to Country and group time, before transitioning to a nutritious morning tea.
Play continues in our nature-based outdoor learning environment, with a number of intentional experiences set up to engage children in play-based learning.
Children return to our indoor environment for group-time and free play, followed by lunch. Calming music is played to support children to rest. Children who are awake will have quiet activities to engage in.
Early afternoon activities are setup based on children's interests and developmental goals.
We return to nature-based play for the afternoon, such as gross-motor challenges, sand-pit digging, water play, or investigating local bugs and birds.
The day's exciting activities come to a close with a shared meal and family grouping.
